“CID Highlight” – Sesame Creme Brulee: CID rating 3 out of 5
This dish reminded me of the the divine green tea creme brulee I had at Upstairs. Though it doesn’t compare because the flavor of the sesame was not infused into the creme brulee like the green tea was but I am a big fan of anything sesame. So the scoop of sesame ice cream and sesame crisp was enough for me to enjoy this creme brulee dish.
Toast with Raspberry Jam and Vanilla Ice Cream: CID rating 2.75 out of 5
The toast was crunchy but not enough to scrap your upper pallet. The freshly whipped cream was runny. The overall combination of cream, jam, ice cream, and toast in one spoonful was really good though nothing someone like you and I could not conjure up in our own kitchens. It should’ve been a 3.0 for enjoyment but I gave it a 2.75 for lack of creativity and difficulty.
Rice Dinner Box: CID rating 2 out of 5
Definitely not worth $16 in terms of ingredients, presentation, taste, and portion. If you just came from the dentist office for a root canal and was told you can only have something bland and mushy for dinner, and your dentist office is right next to Cha-An, and your friend that accompanied you has to use the bathroom really bad, and Otafuku which is right next door has finally closed down because everyone realized that the octopus balls just aren’t worth the wait… then I would say you have no choice but to kill yourself.
